36th Southern Appalachian
Yearly Meeting
June 8 - 11, 2006
Registration Information
Everyone attending sessions during the yearly meeting MUST be registered.
Registration and general dorms will be offered starting 4:30 pm on Wednesday,
June 7. The SAYF dorm will be available starting at 11 am on Thursday. Young
Friends will stay with their guardian/sponsor until then.
Registration Deadline is May 12, 2006. There will be a $30 late fee for
registrations postmarked after that date. Final deadline to reserve a room on
campus is May 26, 2005. Meal tickets cannot be purchased after May 29. Meals
bought individually on campus will cost more.
Linens: Bring all bedding from home if possible. WWC can provide a small
number of linen packets for those Friends who are unable to bring their own.
Linen packets (sheets, blanket, pillow and towel) rent for $15. Linens are
available ONLY if they are ordered ahead of time.
Dorm Choices: GENeral, will be the choice entered on your registration
form in most cases. (The dorms will be different from last year.) Young Friends
who will be in the 7th through 12th grades in the coming Fall will choose SAYF
to be in that program and sleep with others in their age group. SLO is for
simple living option and is limited to the first 20 people who sign up. YAF is
for Young Adult Friends (roughly ages 18-35) who want to be housed together and
also do some meals together. There is only one air-conditioned dorm on the
campus since it is located in the mountains. Not everyone will be able to fit
into this one dorm. If you are handicapped or have breathing/allergy problems,
please indicate this on your registration form. Let the registrar know if you
need to be near the handicapped-equipped bathroom. You may want an extra
blanket for the air-conditioned dorm or a fan for others.
Workshop Registration: Space in some of the workshops will be limited, so
please pre-register for your choice of workshop. This also gives us an idea of
how much room is needed for each session.

check from your Monthly Meeting with your registration or bring it with you to
Warren Wilson. If you need additional aid, fill in the amount under the
Scholarship Request box on your registration form. We ask that you volunteer,
if possible, for one of the many volunteer jobs that help us during the Yearly
Meeting.
